Vented Firestop Plate, White, 150mm
A Ventilated Firestop plate used when the chimney passes between floors
i.e when the chimney passes through the ceiling on the ground floor through to the first floor
NOTE - The diameter referred to in twin wall chimneys is the internal diameter - the external diameter is 50mm wider, and is not used to describe the vented firestop plate.
When the chimney passes through the ceiling on the ground floor through to the first floor, the vented firestop plate is attached to the underside of the ceiling.
The steel plate is designed to provide the appropriate distance between the flue and the adjacent flammable materials, according to building regulations
The vents allow for a cooling draught when the chimney is 'boxed in' in the room above, with a further firestop on the floor and another on the ceiling.
A Non-Ventilated Firestop plate can be used on installations burning gas or oil.
Distance to combustibles is 60mm. (e.g. wood, plaster board).
For use on solid fuel and gas/oil appliances. eg: wood burning stoves, gas, coal effect fires, oil boilers, solid fuel appliances.

TW Pro Twin Wall Insulated Chimney parts are secured together by using a Locking Band.
Twin wall chimney systems are referenced by their INTERAL diameter. The external diameter is 200mm.
