Smoked Glass Hearth - Quarter Circle - 1100mm x 1100mm

The contemporary stoves on our website do not heat the hearth to over 100ºC and so a 12mm hearth can be used.

Toughened or tempered glass hearth - far higher impact resistance and compressive strength than normal glass. 

Manufactured to DIN 1249, part 12 

Operating temperatures: 
short-term usage: 300 °C 
long-term usage: 200 °C 
Pressure strength: 700 - 900 N/mm

If a traditional stove is placed on a combustible floor then the hearth must be at least 250mm thick.

Some glass hearths on offer are only 6 mm thick glass or 2 - 3 mm thick steel plate and cannot be used without further non-combustible material underneath.
