The flue pipes we sell are a European type, CE stamped pipe. All the pipes fit all our stoves and are exactly 150mm.

This standard is set to become mandatory in the UK during 2010, but is currently optional.

  • They form an interference fit over the outside of the stove exit spigot, unlike current Uk fittings which fit inside. Subsequent pipes fit over the outside of the lower pipe.
  • No extra couplings are required.
  • Pipes may be fitted 'UK Style' with the upper pipe inside the lower using our 250mm length of 'anti condensation flue pipe'.
  • The pipe has an exact  internal diameter of 150mm, the spigot on the pipes have an exact external diameter of 150mm.
  • The joints between pipes are flush fitting and therefore barely visible.
  • The joints are certified gas tight (N1).

The designation is as follows:   EN 1856-2-T400-N1-D-Vm-L01180-G500

Official information regarding the changeover to the EU regulation flue pipe, in the form of the ammendment to Building regs document J is is available here.

If you are fitting British flue pipe to our stoves you may need an adapter, or you may try to find UK vitreous enamel pipes that are a true 150mm (most vary between 143mm and 152mm). Please ensure the pipe internal diameter is the correct 150mm size to fit directly onto the stove's spigot.

HETAS engineers are not yet instructed in this new standard.
